Parties & Piggies

Last weekend we went to the 1st birthday party of Miss Lily (my friend of a thousand years Mary's daughter, also the little lady I have the pleasure of watching 1-2 days a week, along with her siblings). Here she is with her grandma in her adorable birthday dress,

Opening presents with help from Mom and big sister Lana,

In her couch, brother CJ is on the right,

Sorry for the picture Mary, but it's the only one I have of Lily playing with one of our presents :)

The fam,

Eleanora with a very old friend of mine,

Nora planning her escape, this is a good silhouette of her beautiful dress,

As with Justin's party, Eleanora knows when to swoop in on the gifts after the birthday boy or girl is distracted,

Sunday we moved around some furniture in our living room, and needed to vacuum the floors before we finished putting things in their new spot. Eleanora FREAKED out until we let her help! Here she is vacuuming,

This girl picks up on everything. Here she is after her bath trying to clean her ears with a Q-tip.

Sunday morning I hit up some huge consignment sales and scored tons of stuff, including many many PJ's (she was in dire need) and some toys/books. Here she is in a pair of the new jammies playing with the new book set, (notice the trail of toys leading from her room to our living room, this is a daily trail that begins first thing in the morning and by evening you can barely walk)

Here is she with her first pigtails! Piglets, if you will.

And tonight before bed, sporting another new pair of warm jammies,

Cousin Aunties

First, just cuz I saw this picture in the folder I was uploading from and I had to post, here's Trav,

And then that got me thinking of teeny tiny Nora and how far we've come, and I dug through to find a picture that was taken exactly a year ago today, but I couldn't find one, so this was a year and two days ago,

Finally on to the reason I started this post. Eleanora and I stopped by to see her Aunties and I took some photos and promised I would post them so here they are.

Eleanora "smiling" when I asked, but looking at Kali's scarf,

Eleanora decided she wanted to look as smart as her Aunties so she borrowed Kali's glasses,

And here she is apparently trying to make her mommy pay for replacing Kali's Chanel frames. Luckily, no damage was done (at least I think, right Kali?)

Warehouse

***Title Note: I hate thinking of titles, so I've decided when I have no good ideas for a blog post title, I will just give it the title of the song I was listening to as I finished typing the post. So tonight, it is 'Warehouse' by DMB.***

Just kind of a random update here. Nothing too exciting, just the happenings around here lately.

Eleanora loves that Travis got a Bumbo chair, and helped herself to it last time we visited,

Which really, she was just returning the favor of Carsten always sitting in hers when he visited,
(circa Feb 09)

Chris & big boy Trav,

This weekend we headed to the Nativity County Fair on Saturday. We watched the young Irish Dancers,

Eleanora LOVED them, she was clapping along and tapping her feet!

Bryce took Eleanora on a ride,

And we danced to some kid tunes,

Sunday we headed back for outdoor Mass, and met up with the Gatti's beforehand to walk together. Carina and Ben were kind enough to share their light sabers with Eleanora and Bryce so they could "battle". If you have any questions about how to battle, how to win, how to die, or any other Star Wars related inquiry, the Gatti kids are the ones to ask.

Outdoor Mass=chasing Eleanora all around the crowd trying to stop her from giving our car keys away to other kids, helping herself to their strollers and trying to tickle the toes of the woman in a wheelchair.

And here is Nora ready to go "bye bye". No matter what she's doing, if you ask her "You wanna go Bye Bye?" she runs to the door and waits for you to open it!

And finally, I got a new camera (basically my same old camera, just newer version) and I was playing around with it learning to new settings, etc and snapped some photos of Eleanora eating dinner. These were too cute not to share,

(as you can see, she got a second tooth!)

(as you can also see, this girlie thinks her mama is HILARIOUS)

The end.

Eleanora @ 1

Bryce's sister Nisa took Eleanora's 1 year old pictures last week, here they are! I was meaning to only upload my "favorites" and before I knew it, I had uploaded all of these. I just can't choose, I love so many of them! She truly caught Eleanora's personality and beauty.

Enjoy!

Yep, my girl really is that adorable. I am so lucky to have such a spunky, giggly, hilarious daughter.

How lucky are we that Eleanora's aunt happens to be an amazing child photographer? Thank you, Nisa!
