As you may know, Eleanora was pretty sick a few weeks ago. She had a fever and was very lethargic. She wouldn't let us put her down all day. She spent two entire days snuggling with us on the couch. Yes, she was miserable, but we soaked up all the snuggles we could. This girl is go go go all day long, so extended cuddling sessions are a rarity around here.
Here she is being miserable,
The second day after her fever broke, she got a rash on her stomach/back/neck area, leading me to believe she had Roseola
She's all better now! That was her very first illness, so it was rough on mommy & daddy. But we are very grateful it took over a year for her to be sick!
So that's all the old news, onto the current stuff. Today we went to the State Fair. We thought Eleanora would love the animals. Um, yeah right.
Here she is refusing to touch the calf or get off my knee,
I finally put her down so she could see he was harmless, and Bryce snapped this shot about 2 seconds before the crying and "Mama! mama!" began,
Then she got her first tattoo,
Despite our not so great Cattle Barn experience, followed by a stinky Swine Barn, we headed to see the horses. At first because the horse was very still I think she thought it was a stuffed animal because she reached right out and touched him! Then he moved and she FREAKED. She spent a few minutes trying to dive out of my arms, so we quickly took this pic and decided to give up on the barn animals. On our way into the Cattle Barn, she was so excited to see the cows, we put her up to the fence and she was smiling, then a giant black cow went "MOOOOOOO!" right in her face, then the pouty lip came out. I think that's what scarred her. Oh well, she's a city girl anyway!
She was MUCH happier about the food.
Oh mom, you're so funny!
What?? I can't have anymore french fries??
Hot & sweaty at the Fair,
She went on the Carousel and LOVED it! Mommy got a little dizzy!
We stopped for some Sweet Martha's cookies. Yum! Here she enjoying her cookie and looking like she was about to fall asleep,
Loved the cookies, but it was time to head home for a nap.
Exhausted!
(note: I had started taking her out of her seat then decided to take a picture, which is why she is halfway unbuckled, I don't drive around with her only half buckled in!)
Eleanora and mommy napped while daddy watched football. Very fun day!
Stay tuned for Eleanora's 1 year photos by Nisa, they are beyond adorable!
I love it....her 'first' tattoo.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for all the pics!
