Spring!

Eleanora's new favorite thing: wearing her swimsuits around the house and sometimes out to run errands. She brings us her suits and demands to wear them!

And these are from playing in the Ketchum's backyard today. Eleanora and Lily beg to go outside and it is awesome - we've been stuck inside for many many months. I dare a kid to not have fun in this backyard:

(And Anne, calm down. There's a safety net around the whole trampoline, it's just the two little girl in it at at a time and all they do is kind of walk around and bounce a little with their steps and think that it is hilarious)

Introducing...

Ernie! (Well, sometimes we call him Bernie)

He's 4 years old and a big love bug. He was hit by a car 2 years ago and it crushed his pelvis, so he has a limp now, which you totally forget when he darts from one end of the apartment to the other. He follows us from room to room waiting for us to make a lap for him to jump in. He lets Eleanora pull his tail, whiskers, lay on him, etc and he just takes it, like he's happy for the attention. She is getting better at being gentle and giving him nice hugs. She absoluely loves him.

You'll be happy to know we tried our Library adventure again after checking their hours, and we were able to go for weekly storytime last week. She loved the singing and was fairly patient with the actual reading of all the books (she mostly wanted to get in trouble with the little girl next to her and go pull all the DVDs off the shelf), but I think we'll go there a lot.

Yep, I'm getting serious on you here.

I know not many people read this here little blog of mine, but I thought I'd start sharing things that touch me, so that maybe they will move someone else too.

Coffee Talk

Monday afternoon Eleanora and I set out on foot to the Walker Library, only to see when we got there they are closed on Mondays. I should have checked the hours first! But we decided to walk to Caribou instead for a Hot Apple Blast for mommy (a fave of mine back in the day when I spent money willy-nilly). Nora had a chocolate muffin and juice. We sat and chatted and talked to strangers (well she did, so by default I had to also, she makes me more social, how annoying).

 I love having a little girl! It was like I was meeting up with a girlfriend for coffee. She is my bestest friend.

Talking to a stranger,

She loves chocolate muffins as much as her mama,

Offering her muffin to more strangers,

A good one of all her new teeth! She's got 4 bottom, 2 top and 4 molars now,

This morning in the car she said, "What's that, mama?" Her first 3 word sentence! It was so cute.
